I am Rose Dwyer, a candidate for the Virginia Beach School Board in District 1 (Kempsville/Providence area). I have extensive experience in public schools having served as a PTA president, a former appointed school board member, and most importantly the mother to 5 wonderful children. I am passionate about putting the needs of students and families at the forefront of decision-making while also supporting the needs of teachers. I look forward to sharing more about myself and hearing about what is important to my constituents. I believe in servant leadership and I understand that if elected, I work for you, the voters and taxpayers. It is imperative that candidates don't tell the voters one thing to get elected and then vote differently once taking office.
